3D PRINTED SYNTHETIC TEXTILE
This is the result, after many hours of iteration, modeling, failed prints, and babysitting the 3d printer; a 3D printed synthetic textile. It moves fluidly and without catching to bend and cover surfaces. While there are obvious problems, and barriers between this version and a version I will be able to use in a garment, I made a lot of progress and learned quiet a bit in the process. printed all in one go with no support structure! I repeat, no support structure! This means minimal cleaning which is a lot of time saved. This comes from creating an easily reproducible shape that interlocks with its repetition. GEOMETRIC CANDLE HOLDERS
A 3D printer hold so much opportunity for making christmas gifts—which is what these were made for! I was looking for something that was simple and beautiful, and if I printed a few could fit nicely into many different peoples homes,

not look like they were 3D printed, and require no support structure. Unfortunately, I did not get a change to print them for Christmas 2016, but I thought they looked beautiful, and though I would share.

HEX SHOE
This is the first 3D printing project longer than 10 hours I had ever done. Aft 37 hours, and a few more additional hours to clean out the support structure, I had a complete shoe! This shoe is the first, of hopefully many, and it certainly has the flaws that mark it as such. For example, you can see a crack where the heel meets the sole of the shoe, which actually came from dropping it, not wearing it. The holes where too densely packed with support structure to be able to clean out, and the support structure was difficult to clean out at all. The sole also isn't ideal for feet, which isn't great for a shoe. In the end, I learned a lot that will be applied to my next 3d printed shoe project!
