ROMEO AND JULIET

For this project, went through the design process to create the costumes for 10 characters from Romeo and Juliet (with two additional costumes for Romeo and Juliet) after choosing, as a group, the era in which this would exist. We chose the mid-late 1920s. We began with research of fashion at that time, creating mood boards as we went for each character and the play overall.
We then created initial sketches, swatched fabrics, iterated on the sketches, received feedback, then created final sketches and painted the sketches. With this project, we continued to develop our ability to sketch, paint, create mood and inspiration boards, color match fabrics and paints, and assemble our designs for presentation.

JAFAR

This project was many firsts form me. The first time to use water color, the first costume design for theatre, and the first time I've used colored pencils since middle school.
The assignment was to create Disney character, in my case Jaraf, and represent them in three different fashion periods; Ottoman Empire, Hip Hop, and High fashion.
